The role: Chief Accountant


This position is directly reporting to Finance Manager and is responsible for the  full accounting cycle including transaction processing, monthly closings, tax, legal, and statutory reporting.


Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Performs month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
Coordinates with the team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
Develops and maintains internal controls, effective accounting systems, and policies.
Ensures the correctness of relevant bookkeeping and prepares all tax declarations properly and on time.
Serves as the contact person for relations with the tax authority and establishes good communication with them.
Follows up on new tax legislation that may affect operations and informs HQ finance when necessary.
Prepares complete and accurate financial statements in accordance with local requirements and Group Accounting Policy.
Cooperates with external auditors to carry out periodical external audit processes.
Supervises and follows all necessary financial applications to public authorities and commercial organizations.
Manages the process of archiving documents according to legal requirements and company procedures.

Required skills and qualifications:


University degree in Accounting / Business Administration / Economy
Fluent in English
Sound knowledge in local Tax laws and regulations,
Strong accounting background with accrual accounting mentality,
Experience in local bookkeeping,
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions; retail experience is an advantage,
Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment.
