Your role will be:

• Provide legal and methodological guidance on payment services and other non-lending products of UBB.
• Prepare and review product documentation, general terms and conditions, internal rules and procedures of the bank.
• Provide legal support for the Bank’s distribution of insurance, pension, and investment services. Ensure that agreements, customer documentation and distribution processes comply with applicable requirements.
• Advise on new and existing non-lending products, business processes and digitalization initiatives, and translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
• Support the Branch Network of the bank in relation to delegations and inheritance matters, customer inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess related risks and provide clear, business-oriented guidance to the relevant units.
• Review advertising materials, represent the Bank in relevant proceedings, coordinate external legal counsel where needed, and contribute to internal and KBC Group projects.

You are the right candidate if:

• You have a Master’s degree in Law and legal capacity.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant legal experience. Experience in banking, payments, insurance, pensions, investments or financial services is an advantage.
• You have good knowledge of banking and payment law, contract and commercial law, consumer protection, competition law, and the rules for distributing insurance, pension and investment products.
• You can give independent, practical legal advice, identify risks and explain clearly how they can be managed.
• You can work confidently in English with legal terms, regulations and contracts.
• You can analyze complex products and processes, work with different teams and turn regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
• You communicate clearly, build strong working relationships and coordinate effectively across different functions.
• You are confident using MS Office and legal software.
