Senior Software Engineer for Machine Learning Platform, Sofia

General duties

• Owns the MLP architecture and roadmap
• Align with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Markets, IT Cloud & IT On Prem, InfoSec & other teams on future development of Machine Learning Platform
• Ensure stable operation of production environment, provide all required observability stack, maintain runbooks and incident response procedures
• R&D infrastructure & service improvements via new approaches, frameworks, etc.
• Team development & growth, proposals for changes
• Collaborate with the data scientists' team to improve the monitoring of the machine learning models performance.
• Participates in different digital projects and cross functional teams.

Your challenges
We are building a Machine Learning Platform and we will require low-latency features- and data-stores for real-time model-serving. Hence there are a handful of challenges for our Development team:

• Design and build micro-services to facilitate fast pace of change
• Create state-of-the-art model serving architecture
• Engrain development, testing & deployment best practices to reduce risks and amount of mundane work

Requirements

• Strong Python experience (sqlalchemy, fastapi, etc.)
• Docker & Kubernetes knowledge
• Understanding of software design patterns and testing
• Ownership mentality, curiosity & pro-active approach
• Verbal and written English

Ideal candidate:

• Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres) and streams (Kafka)
• Azure and Databricks experience
• Experience with Java or Scala
