General duties

• Monitor customer accounts and transactions for potentially fraudulent activity using fraud detection systems and analytical tools.
• Review alerts and investigate unusual account behavior in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Apply immediate prevention measures to mitigate financial losses upon detection of fraudulent activity
• Escalate confirmed or suspected fraud cases to the appropriate internal teams.
• Contact customers, when required, to verify transactions, investigate suspicious activity and raise awareness for the risks of payments fraud
• Document investigations accurately and maintain case records based on internal requirements.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and other stakeholders to resolve fraud-related issues.
• Identify fraud trends and emerging risks and contribute with recommendations for improving detection and prevention processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, banking regulations, and data privacy requirements.
• Meet productivity, quality, and service-level targets while maintaining high investigation standards.
• Work on a shift-based schedule (24/7 coverage including night shifts, weekends and public holidays).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity/Information Systems/Finance/Economics/Business/Statistics or any other relevant subject
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making in a high-stakes environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks under pressure
• High level of integrity, responsibility and professionalism
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and effectively use fraud detection tools, banking systems and data analysis software. Comfortable adapting to new technologies and digital processes.
• Customer-focused and solution-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team-player attitude
• Proficiency in English, written and verbal (minimum level B2)
• Familiarity with payment fraud, digital fraud and cybecrime
• Customer service experience or experience in the financial services sector is preferred
